Are you interested in joining the growing movement for community benefits? The Toronto Community Benefits Network (TCBN) is hiring for three key positions to support underrepresented groups’ access to the jobs and opportunities created through negotiating Community Benefits Agreements (CBAs) into public infrastructure and urban development projects. Application deadline is February 28th at 5pm. The positions will remain open until filled.

  • The Coordinator, Training and Capacity Building is responsible for all aspects of training associated with TCBN’s role in supporting the implementation of Community Benefits Agreements. This position is responsible for TCBN’s training requirements for its existing and new initiatives, from research and curriculum development to program coordination, implementation and evaluation.   • The Mentorship Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of Mentoring initiatives associated with TCBN’s role in supporting the implementation of Community Benefits Agreements. This position is responsible for coordinating a comprehensive mentoring program that offers underrepresented groups moral support and practical guidance as they move from career exploration, through pre-apprenticeship training, into apprenticeship and employment and progress to Red Seal Certification.   • The Construction Industry Liaison is primarily responsible for active liaison with external stakeholders including general contractors, sub-contractors, trade unions, trades training centres, construction sector intermediary, construction and development bodies, developers, builders and site personnel to ensure the successful implementation of the Community Benefits Apprenticeship Plan. Note this position has the option to be negotiated as a secondment contract with your current employer who must be a partnering union, industry association or contractor.
