On behalf of Executive Director Rosemarie Powell and the TCBN team, event partners and sponsors, we would like to extend a thank you to everyone who participated at the 2025 Community Benefits Summit on May 30th.
The first national summit on community benefits brought together over 150 community benefits practitioners, advocates and allies from community, labour, philanthropy and the private sectors for a full day of learning, sharing and discussions on CBA best practices and implementation strategies.
During the summit we heard stories from across the country on how CBAs are enabling good well-paying jobs close to home, fostering opportunities for all through equitable hiring and apprenticeship training, facilitating opportunities for small and medium-sized business participation and other neighbourhood and environmental improvements.
As Canada embarks on a significant infrastructure and development program to build the homes and infrastructure we need, the Summit provided a platform to learn, inspire and inform the important work ahead. Together, we are creating a Canada in which everyone has equitable opportunities to contribute in building healthy communities and a prospering economy.
