In March, the TCBN participated in a panel discussion on Toronto's new framework to Advance Inclusive Economic Development, co-organized by Councillor Alejandra Bravo and the Institute for Inclusive Economies and Sustainable Livelihoods at University of Toronto Scarborough Campus.
The discussion featured TCBNs Director of Community Engagement and Campaigns, Kumsa Baker and representatives from the City of Toronto, Atkinson Foundation, Toronto & York Region Labour Council and Councillor Alejandra Bravo.
Community leaders and organizations whose vision, advocacy, and practices have played a key role in its development participated in the event at CSI Annex which also included opening remarks and evening presentation from Dr. Manuel Pastor. The TCBN is one of 25 organizations who have been invited to the City's Working Table to help inform the development of the Framework.
