On July 6, the Toronto Community Benefits Network, in collaboration with the Jane and Finch Centre/Black Creek Fair Economies, held a Downsview Town Hall meeting at the Grandravine Community Recreation Centre. Residents, community members, and stakeholders came together to discuss the planned Downsview redevelopment, as well as Canada Lands Company's lack of community benefits commitments across the districts it oversees and the impacts on housing, local jobs, small businesses, and more. Attendees made thoughtful contributions throughout the discussion and explored ways to advocate for a more equitable future for the Downsview community.

Councillor James Pasternak was also in attendance and provided additional context to many of the local residents' concerns regarding the redevelopment. Thank you to everyone who contributed to the discussion and participated in the dotmocracy activity ahead of the upcoming North York Community Council meeting.
