We are pleased to share that Ontario Line contractor Connect 6ix has partnered with WCG, the Service System Manager for Toronto’s Employment Ontario service providers, to help local job seekers access employment opportunities on the Ontario Line project. As part of this work, WCG and Connect 6ix will be hosting free information sessions for residents in the Thorncliffe Park, Flemingdon Park, Moss Park communities interested in learning about pathways to employment opportunities on the Ontario Line.
During this session, participants will have the opportunity to:
- Learn about current and upcoming Ontario Line career opportunities.
- Meet representatives from Connect 6ix and WCG.
- Learn about the skills and qualifications employers are looking for.
- Find out how to access free employment supports, including resume assistance, interview preparation, skills training and other job readiness services.
While these are not Metrolinx events, and the initiative is being led by Connect 6ix and WCG, they have asked for our support in amplifying promotion by sharing event flyers with stakeholders in our network. If you know of local residents who may be interested, we'd greatly appreciate your help sharing the attached flyers. Any questions about registration, recruitment or hiring should be directed to the contacts listed on the flyer.
