Our work on the ground has focused on community engagement and building community coalitions in neighbourhoods like Fairivew, Regent Park, Moss Park, Downsview, Lawrence Heights, Golden Mile, Mount Dennis, South Etobicoke and Rexdale. With the growth and development across Toronto, local neighbourhood coalitions are calling for equitable development, good jobs and decent work opportunities, anti-displacement, affordable housing, neighbourhood and environmental improvements and infrastructure to enable community wealth building. In the Fall, we launched our CBAforDownsview Community Based Vision report which is a culmination of TCBNs engagement in the area and which we seek to inform the future development at Downsview.
This work would not be possible without the involvement and leadership from local community groups and organizations, community agencies including community health centres and community legal clinics, labour unions and leaders, political supporters, faith groups, community benefits ambassadors and community advocates. We thank you for your tireless work and committment to ensuring healthy, prosperous and affordable neighbourhoods.
For 2025, we look forward to you joining us in this important advocacy and organizing. We will continue our work to make sure we hold elected officials accountable and develop an electoral platform that is centred on equity, economic justice and decent work for all.
