Go Green Cricket & Sports Field Project
The Go Green Cricket & Sports Field Project is dedicated to providing community benefits through its revitalized outdoor facility in Thorncliffe Park. The $2.3 million project enhanced the school yard with a multi-purpose cricket field, a multi-sport court, an outdoor amphitheatre, bio-swale, butterfly meadow, interpretive marsh and urban forest. Night-time LED sports lighting was also added. Go Green now operates accessible youth-led year-round programs in cricket, multi-sports and eco-arts, field local youth teams in the Toronto & District Cricket Association and permits its facility to community groups and outside users.
